Pumpkin Oil Covered Chocolate
Oil & Oil Pastel on Paper.
Size: 50 W x 70 H cm
I was in a quiet restaurant with the owner and a few guests. We're looking at things on a shelf and he spots the pumpkin oil, intrigued. I tell him it's good and he opens it. He pours a little on a bar of chocolate on the table, I say it might want some more. He pours more and it flows off the top and down the sides. He tries the chocolate, likes it and offers me some. It’s difficult to eat and the oil is covering me. The two guests beside me condescendingly ask if chocolate is all I eat, trying to make me self-conscious. I don't care and answer her question properly. The owner is now hosting some sort of music quiz, we're drawing on paper that someone has drawn on before or maybe it's a coloring book. Mine has an apple tree with a figure lying in the centre. I'm listening to the lyrics of the first song figuring out what this drawing could be. The room is now full. There are 3 songs in total, the last is a g-unit song.

This paper has the exact same make-up as the original is painted on - 100% α-cellulose. Acid- and lignin-free. There is a visible structure to the paper which gives a textured look and feel close to the original.
It is certified ISO 9706. Which means it conforms to museum quality for the highest age resistance.
I scan the original (not photograph) so it is as accurate as can be. Including all the oily lumps and strokes of the originals. And then If it’s needed I colour-correct on a colour-accurate studio monitor with the original in front of me.
