The New Kid’s Pool

Oil & Oil Pastel on Paper.

Size: 70 W x 50 H cm

There was a new boy at this school. They were at some sort of family party in the garden outside along with his new classmates. The popular kid asked if he had a pool. The new kid did. He tells him to invite him to use it. He does, he feels obliged to. In the next scene, the popular kid is in the school staff room, overly pally with the teachers. His mates come bouncing into the room one by one, pulling on his clothes being laddish. Revealing the robe that he is wearing underneath his uniform. It then cuts back to a play-by-play of what happened at the pool earlier that day. One kid is climbing out of the pool, and the new kid comes running towards the ladder, slips, and kicks the exiting kid in the face. They both get tangled in the ladder but only the new kid ends up drowning, bleeding floating under the other kids who pay no attention.
