Bed Balanced on Beams

Oil & Oil Pastel on Paper.

Size: 50 W x 70 H cm

My bed was balanced on the beams after we took the floorboards up. I woke up and nothing had changed. I could see the bottom of the hole. I was concerned about my covers touching the bottom, feverishly pulling them up. I couldn’t make myself believe it was a dream, I could clearly see everything. I decided to force myself to sleep to see if it reset. I woke again to the same thing. This time Harrison was also in the room, sitting on a beam in front of me holding something. I was asking him if he needed help while trying to get his attention, touching his back. He never turned around. I finally convinced myself it wasn’t real by getting in the hole.

When I told Harrison in the morning, he had had the same dream, spending that night in the room. He was sitting where I saw him, and he experienced that room from his point of view.
